Microbirrifici.org has been created from italian beer-lovers' passion and enthusiasm.
Our aim is to share information regarding italian craft breweries and beers, promote
italian craft beer scene and share indipendent comments on italian craft breweries and beers.
Visitors can browse - from the home page - the beer list in the "Ricerca birre" (search beer) box
choosing from "Nome birra" (beer name), "Descrizione libera" (general description), "Stile" (style) or
"Gradi alcolici" (alcohol).
Or browse the brewery list in the "Ricerca microbirrifici" (search brewery) choosing from
"Ragione sociale" (name), "Descrizione" (description), "Regione" (county), "Tipologia" (microbrewery or brewpub)
or "Ricerca alfabetica" (alphabetical search).

Registration and vote are totally free. Members are invited to register with their real name
or with an identifiable nickname in order to mantain a fair use of the website.
The beer ratings are calculated from votes by registered members with a
minimum number of votes, in order to avoid possible misuse of the website.
The website is made for italian-speaking users, so please leave comments in italian only.
Here is the scoring sheet translated into English:
Score is an average of single votes according to the following formula:
[(0.5 * Appearance) + (1.1 * Aroma) + (1.9 * Palate/Flavour) + (1.5 * Overall)] /5
It is possible to vote for the same beer more than once only after a month's time from the previous vote.
It is possible to amend your own votes and comments only within 4 hours
from the vote confirmation. After that, scores can be modified only by the website administrator.
A beer is mentioned in the ranking only with a minimum of 3 scores by different registered members
The website administrator may cancel or modify accounts and scores/comments
when it is clear that
- the registered member is strongly involved with the voted beer and brewery
(ie: the brewer himself or the brewery sales manager)
- scoring/comments purpose is just to
denigrate or celebrate a beer
- the member is registered with multiple accounts just to
modify the final ranking of a beer.
You can also download breweries POI (point of interest) for your TomTom or other navigator software.
First download PoiEdit freeware software here: (www.poiedit.com).
Then download for free our files with the updated brewery details. There are two files:
birrifici.kml for the microbrewery POI
(no tap on the premises) and
brewpub.kml for the breweries with own tap.
After you saved the files "Birrifici.kml" and "Brewpub.kml" in your computer
you may also save the image files "Birrifici.bmp" and "Brewpub.bmp", right-clicking with your mouse
on the following images and choosing "Save image" option.
Open with PoiEdit the files "Birrifici.kml" and "Brewpub.kml" and save them
as "birrifici.ov2" and "brewpub.ov2"..
Copy all the the files in your
TomTom device in the directory where the Italian map is.

Registered member privacy is fully respected: data required for registration
